McCarthy Stone is preparing to submit a planning application to develop a vacant site next to Lidl supermarket on Station Road to deliver a retirement living development for people over the age of 55.
We wanted you to be among the first to know about the emerging plans, for our high quality, low-maintenance retirement apartments and to invite you to share your feedback.
Within this website you can find out more about the plans and how you can share your views.
Making retirement living
more affordable
Retirement living makes an enormous difference to the lives of older people. It helps residents stay happier and healthier for longer, enabling them to maintain their inde pendence, find a community and make new friendships. It combines the best features of your own home with the ability to have care and support on hand when required. It is a way of living that adapts to your changing needs.
We strongly believe that all residents should have the opportunity to access this style of retirement living. At McCarthy Stone we have developed a new way of delivering these developments that can make them more affordable. Through adopting approaches like modern methods of construction we can reduce overall development costs, which ultimately reduce the cost of the apartments for residents
What happens next?
We are in the process of engaging with Erewash Borough Council as part of the pre application process. We intend to submit a planning application this summer.
